Chiropractor, Licensed Acupuncturist, Masters in Oriental Medicine

Dr. Annette McKinney is a graduate of the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and has a passion for alternative health care and empowering others to achieve wellness through her extensive training in alternative health care modalities. While completing her education, she mentored with Dr. Robert Humphreys, one of the top chiropractic neurologists in the country. This experience gave her keen insight into the human nervous system and enhances her diagnostic skills.
While finishing her Doctorate in Chiropractic, she also worked to complete her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is also trained in cosmetic acupuncture for facial rejuvenation as a safe alternative to cosmetic surgery. This dual immersion in Eastern and Western principles, supplements, and herbs allows her to achieve a high level of holistic healing prescriptions for each of her patients.
Her special interests include women's reproductive health, including fertility support, pregnancy health, menstrual irregularities, and post-menopausal concerns. She often works with patients experiencing anxiety, sleep irregularities, PTSD, and chronic pain conditions.
Dr. McKinney's chiropractic practice is influenced by her background in Chinese martial arts. She began studying bagua zhang and qigong nearly 10 years ago. This allows her to see the connections between these ancient arts and alternative health care. Dr. McKinney draws from her martial arts training to utilize acupressure points and body biomechanics to restore proper functionality during patient rehabilitation.
